Tessa is a gorgeous English Lop weighing in at over 10 pounds! She is approximately 1 year old. Tessa was found by a citizen and taken to the Central Brevard Humane Society where it was discovered by staff that she was ill with an upper respiratory infection. Our rescue provided safe haven for Tessa and took her to Coastal Animal Hospital for a wellness exam, diagnosis, and treatment. Tessa was in good condition except for a sinus infection which was treated with antibiotics and within a week she was well on the road to recovery. Tessa is scheduled for spaying later this month. It is uncommon for an English Lop coming into rescue to not have some degree of ear issues. Tessa does have a minimal amount of bacteria in her ears which we are currently treating and her ears are responding nicely. By the time Tessa is spayed and recovers from surgery, she will be more than ready for her forever home! Tessa is a big bun with a big heart and lots of energy. She loves to play and does require significant playtime and a larger area for her habitat. Tessa would make the ideal "house rabbit". She is well-behaved and has excellent litter box habits. Tessa is a young adult and is all about playing and impressing you with her aerial acrobatics but is also more than ready to stretch out next to you on the floor for a good petting session. Tessa is very intelligent and loves knocking over stacking cups and building blocks! She is very comfortable around our little Westie, Fergus. If you are looking for a fun bun, Tessa is it!
